About:
Declan is a freelance Lighting and Vision Designer from Melbourne, Australia. He started his career in 2011 where he was worked on over 150 productions with numerous companies.
In 2015 Declan graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts majoring in production under the mentorship of many industry professionals. His involvement with the college saw him touring both regional and interstate as a Lighting Designer and Technical Manager.
Declan made his debut in commercial theatre working as Lighting Operator and acting Production Electrician on the Avenue Q Australian tour. Since then, he has been working on his craft in both design and technical fields on events from TedX, to Paris the Musical and Melbourne NYE fireworks just to name a few.
When not freelancing, you will find Declan in the lighting department at Bunjil Place Theatre working on national, international and home curated events, including Summer Sounds.
Declan is also on the board for the OCPAC theatre company as a resident Lighting Designer and technical Manager.
